"5G Equipment 1.5 Times"… Postseason Ticket Sales Start Date, LG U+ Runs AI Check at Jamsil

15%. That is the figure Kwak Jun-young, head of metropolitan-area infrastructure at LG U+, put forward. On the 14th, News1 reports that he expects postseason attendance to be roughly 15% higher than the regular-season average. He added, "Data usage is also expected to grow at a similar scale."

LG U+ conducted the special network inspection at Jamsil Baseball Stadium on the 13th and announced the results on the 14th. The KBO announced that wild card series ticket sales would begin at 2 p.m. the same day, the 13th.

Jamsil Baseball Stadium Network Inspection: Antennas, Quality Measurement, AI Demonstration (3 Items)

Yonhap News report says the inspection proceeded along three tracks. First, it optimized antennas inside and outside the stadium, and directly measured communication quality on site. The third is artificial intelligence (AI) agents. The company said it demonstrated the process of controlling traffic and optimizing communication parameters using AI agents.

Equipment also increased. LG official press release states that indoor 5G equipment at Jamsil Baseball Stadium was expanded to a level about 1.5 times that of the early commercialization stage, and Newspim also reported the same figure. One point is easy to misread: the 1.5 times figure compares the scale of installed equipment. It does not mean communication speed or processing capacity became 1.5 times higher.

Limitations also need to be noted. The company's announcement stops at saying it 'demonstrated' AI-based control. It did not disclose how much quality improved during actual games or whether any failures occurred. Outlets also described it differently. Yonhap News wrote 'ahead of the playoff opening,' but the KBO's notice dated the 12th specifies that the games starting on the 14th are wild card series.

Standings for the postseason: KT 1st, LG 4th, Doosan 5th

The two teams that use Jamsil as their home ballpark have been placed in the same bracket. According to the KBO's official team standings (as of 2026.10.12, regular season final), LG finished the season in 4th place and Doosan in 5th, lining them up side by side in the wild card bracket. The company emphasized that this is the last postseason to be held at the current Jamsil Baseball Stadium.

Top 5 Teams, 2026 KBO Regular Season Final (as of 2026.10.12)

Rank	Team	W-L-D	Win %
1	KT	90-49-5	0.647
2	Samsung	83-58-3	0.589
3	KIA	79-63-2	0.556
4	LG	78-65-1	0.545
5	Doosan	73-66-5	0.525

Looking at the table, the gap is clear. The difference between 3rd-place KIA and 4th-place LG is 1.5 games. It is calculated using the games-behind method: add the win difference of 1 and the loss difference of 2, then divide by 2. Using the same method, LG and Doosan have a win difference of 5 and a loss difference of 1, so they are 3 games apart. KT finished the regular season 8 games ahead of second-place Samsung.

Postseason Tickets: NOL Ticket, Up to 4 per Person, Cancelled Tickets Sold On-Site

KBO's notice on the 12th states that wild card series tickets are sold through the official ticket seller NOL Ticket's website, app, and customer service center. The KBO announced that reservations would open at 2 p.m. on the 13th, and up to 4 tickets per person can be purchased. If cancellations occur, the tickets will be sold at the venue starting 2 hours before game time.

Postseason Game Schedule (KBO mobile bracket, as of 2026.10.14 04:00)

Round	Schedule
Wild Card Series	October 14–15
Semi-Playoff	Starts October 17
Playoff	Starts October 25
Korean Series	Starts November 2

Some points still need verification. The same notice listed eligibility for special on-site sales as 'aged 65 or older' and 'born before January 1, 1962,' and these two criteria do not match. Whether Game 2 on the 15th will take place depends on the result of the 14th game, but official results were not confirmed as of 22:00 on the 14th. Seat prices are not included because no officially confirmed amounts were found.

The attendance increase projected by Kwak Jun-young is 15%, and the 5G equipment the company expanded is about 1.5 times the early commercialization level. Because the related reports are all based on the same company announcement, this does not imply independent verification of on-site performance.
